Interview Technique and Presenter Coaching
So you’ve nailed the basics, your mic sounds great, you’ve got a list of exciting people to talk to and there’s a perfectly positioned gap in the podcast market for your idea to fill. But what about hosting a podcast? Easy, right? Just talk into the microphone until the conversation fizzles out? Not quite.
Hosting an engaging conversation is an art. You’ve got to know your subject, your guest, make sure the conversation is sticking to the point, keep an eye on the time, ask compelling questions, and actively listen to your guest or co-hosts. It's a lot! We’re not suggesting these skills can be learned and perfected during a two hour virtual course, but, we can share decades of industry knowledge to put you in the best position to host a podcast.
We offer both 1-2-1 and group sessions and can focus on specific topics if required, like interview techniques. Or, we can deliver a more broad brush overview covering the key skills a great presenter and host needs. We tailor each of our coaching sessions to your specific requirements.
Delivered by a team of experts with knowledge of both in front of and behind the microphone, you’ll get face-to-face time with national radio presenter, Ben Atkinson - who has a proven track record of growing his audience on his daily radio show on Heart, which is now the UK’s (and possibly even Europe’s) number one radio brand, and Rory Auskerry who an award winning podcast sound designer and spent a decade as a Studio Director at BBC Radio 4 and 5 Live. Rory has worked closely with some of the most prestigious presenters across BBC news and sport and picked up some great tips along the way.
