About Us
Podcast with credibility
We partner with leaders and businesses who see podcasting as a serious communication tool, not a hobby. From strategy through to production, we bring broadcast experience and the kind of honest, confident guidance that only comes from having done this at the highest level. In the environments we come from, clarity and credibility are never optional.
We’re The Podcast Coach. A broadcast-trained team helping leaders communicate with clarity.
We’ve spent decades in national radio and television broadcasting. High-stakes environments where quality is not optional.
Now we bring that experience to businesses who want their podcast to feel credible and considered from day one.
Our clients don’t want hobby content. They want a communication channel they can stand behind. One that sounds measured, professional and aligned with their brand.
We start with strategy and ideas; what you’re saying, why it matters, and who needs to hear it.
If you want a podcast that earns attention and builds trust, you’re in the right place.
The Podcast Coach. Crafted for credibility. Your story amplified.
At The Podcast Coach, you work directly with us, the directors
Rory

Rory has been responsible for the sound design and mixing on a range of major award-winning podcast series.
For a decade Rory worked as a Studio Director for the BBC on national radio programmes across 5 live and Radio 4. Rory takes huge pride and pleasure in crafting high quality, creative and beautifully produced audio products.

In 2019 Rory left the BBC to fulfil his childhood dream of becoming a commercial helicopter pilot. After co-founding The Podcast Coach with Ben in 2021 Rory is now able to combine his passions for aviation and audio by working as a multimedia producer and as a helicopter pilot.
Combining his experience as a radio presenter with his passion for flying both helicopters and planes, Rory also runs a YouTube channel – Rory On Air – which has more than fifteen thousand subscribers.
Lizi

Lizi has extensive experience as a producer and journalist having worked in network newsrooms across the BBC.
As a television producer on BBC Breakfast, Lizi worked with high profile presenters and guests. She briefed correspondents and presenters, identifying engaging stories and booking guests across a broad range of topics and produced her own original journalism. A keen eye for detail, she also worked with video editors and correspondents to ensure accuracy and quality.
After a time spent working as a newspaper journalist, she began her producing career at BBC Radio 5 live Breakfast where she honed her skills at reacting to breaking news and working to tight deadlines.
Given her knowledge of broadcast across both TV and radio, as well as working with high-profile clients and stakeholders, Lizi is well placed to find you the best guests and help you perfect your scripts, video, radio and podcast content.
Ben
Creative Content Director
Ben hosts the late show on Heart, a brand that has an audience of over 12 million listeners a week.
In 2025, Ben was handed the biggest show of his career to date with Heart, hosting the late show. You’ll regularly hear Ben presenting day time shows, covering drive co-hosting with Kelly Brook and across the Cote D’Azur on Riviera Radio too.
Ben always knew he wanted to be a radio presenter, so knocked on the door of his local radio station when he was just 16.
He hosted the Breakfast Show on Jack FM for just a year and was subsequently talent spotted by Global. He then went on to anchor the Heart Breakfast Show in Wiltshire for more than five years.
After honing his craft over 16 years he has gone on to mentor several up-and-coming presenters who have gone on to get roles at Sky Sports, ITV and Channel 5, as well as coaching podcasts such as The Back Pain Podcast, The Little Questions, Explain I.T, Feed My Curiosity and Rewilding the World with Ben Goldsmith.
Our Values
Our approach and values
We believe a podcast should reflect the standard of the thought leaders or business behind it. If you’re serious about how you communicate in writing, in person and on stage, the same care should apply to your podcast. Preparation matters. Structure matters. Presentation matters.
We bring broadcast discipline to the process. Clear thinking. Strong editorial judgement. Consistent production quality.
Not because it sounds impressive. Because it builds trust.
From day one, we focus on making something your audience can rely on and you can be proud of.
Broadcast standard
We work to the standards we learned in national broadcasting. Clear purpose and structure. Clean sound. Strong editorial judgement. If it wouldn’t go to air, it doesn’t go out.
End-to-end guidance
From shaping the idea to publishing every episode, we stay involved. You won’t be handed a checklist. You’ll have experienced producers alongside you at every stage.
Reputation first
Your podcast carries your name. We plan carefully, edit properly and sense-check everything so it reflects the level you already operate at.
Built around the audience
A podcast only works if people want to listen. We focus on substance, clarity and consistency so your audience keeps coming back and knows exactly why they should.
Testimonials
“Utter, utter genius chaps. You really are rather good at this producing malarkey."
"Quietly competent, efficient, creative and reassuring in all circumstances. I couldn't have done this without them and what a pleasure they have made it."
“Thank you for the hard work this year pulling stuff together. The release quality and direction for each and every episode has been awesome and that is thanks to you all.”
"Collaborating with The Podcast Coach is a complete joy. They’re brilliant with recording and content advice and have all the intelligence and experience to produce a beautiful finished product, as well the clips to promote it – leaving us to have the fun of creating the moment ourselves."
"I've loved working with The Podcast Coach over the past year. We've rebooted our podcast with their help. A big part of that was thematic in what we choose to focus on, and another big component was just the quality of production, the way in which we edit it and put it together. The Podcast Coach was really instrumental in making that happen, whether it was about helping us think through what the right themes and topics were, or whether it was about editing or just shadowing and being part of the episode recording, making sure that each episode was the best episode we could possibly do. Working with Ben and Rory really helped us up our game. I really appreciate the work they've done and if you are looking for support of this nature, I couldn't recommend anyone finer."
"I approached The Podcast Coach hoping to improve the sound quality, edit and image of my podcast. Within a very short time all aspects were much improved, and ratings started to soar! They were fantastic to work with. A solid and professional production company ready to give your podcast what it needs to become successful."
“Our podcast coaching with Ben and Rory was invaluable – a detailed appraisal of our first series, with tangible actions and tips which we will be putting into practice in our second series. Ben and Rory have buckets of experience and enthusiasm and it was great to get an external expert view on what we're doing right and the tweaks we can make to take Trapped History to the next level. Thanks to this session we're feeling very energised and positive about what the future holds – and I'm sure we'll be calling on Ben and Rory again in future.”
"I was totally blown away today with your coaching session for our podcast."
Our Process
A process refined over decades working in both BBC and Global radio and television. We take the work seriously. We take ourselves slightly less so.
